P&O boss Peter Hebblethwaite asked if he is a ‘shameless criminal’

P&O Ferries chief government Peter Hebblethwaite has issued a “late apology” after the on-the-spot sacking of 800 workers.

He advised a Commons joint committee he had spent the previous week speaking to folks one-to-one after the corporate misplaced an “unsustainable sum of money” and would have closed with out the motion.

Mr Hebblethwaite mentioned no union would have accepted the corporate proposal, however then admitted he had not consulted them.

He was answering Labour MP Darren Jones, who requested: “Are you on this mess since you don’t know what you’re doing, or are you only a shameless legal?”
