Logan Mwangi murder trial: Stepfather denies punching five-year-old boy and claims his mother shook him | UK News

A stepfather accused of murdering a five-year-old has denied punching him and as a substitute accused the boy’s mom of shaking him.

Logan Mwangi was found within the River Ogmore in Pandy Park, Bridgend, on 31 July 2021, near the flat w. he lived along with his household.

John Cole, 40, Angharad Williamson, 30, and a 14-year-old boy who can’t be named due to his age have all denied homicide.

The defendant claimed he and Williamson rowed after she had shaken Logan and he or she had taken him again to his bed room.

Mr Rouch stated: “Did she say, ‘I am sick of those rows and I will go away you’ and also you stated, ‘When you do, I am going to kill him’, that means Logan?”

Mr Rouch stated Williamson’s case was that she went to mattress on the evening of Logan’s dying and didn’t get up till 5.30am.

“I did not punch Logan. I by no means stated Angharad punched him, I’ve by no means stated that,” Cole stated.

“I did not kill Logan. Angharad was awake, Angharad woke me up.”

He advised the jury he went to mattress at round midnight and had left Logan alive with Williamson.

“She stated she heard Logan take his final breath,” he stated.

Williamson and the youth deny homicide and perverting the course of justice.

Cole denies homicide, however admits perverting the course of justice.

Cole and Williamson are additionally charged with inflicting or permitting the dying of a kid.
